We're looking for a Sales Planning Analyst to support Retail DCO by driving sales planning efforts, setting targets, tracking performance, and enabling data-driven decisions. You'll work closely with Sales Operations and Commercial teams to ensure smooth planning cycles while supporting one of our leading global clients in their expansion into the Grocery & Retail business as they transform how people access everyday essentials.
What You'll Do
- Support quarterly / half-yearly planning cycles, including target setting and quota attainment
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track sales performance and pipeline health
- Analyze data to spot trends and provide recommendations to sales leaders
- Work with the Sales Compensation team to monitor performance and validate incentive payouts
- Build forecast models for quota using historical data
- Gather & consolidate commercial inputs (roster, pipeline, books of business) to help forecast future targets
- Support regular business routines like QBRs, forecast reviews, and goal setting
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of planning
- Develop and document the annual and quarterly quota setting methodology and work closely with sales leadership to cascade targets down to individual sales representative levels
- Conduct in-depth analysis of sales performance and compensation effectiveness to provide actionable insights for incentive plan design adjustments
What You'll Need
A bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or another analytical fieldAt least 3 years of experience in sales planning, quota setting or sales operationsStrong skills in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with SQL is a plusAbility to turn data into insights through developing trend charts, slides & recommendationsFamiliarity with Salesforce and BI tools such as Tableau or LookerStrong understanding of sales compensation, quota setting / forecasting & incentive planningA keen eye for detail and comfort working with large datasetsClear communication skills and the ability to work with teams across functions and time zonesPreferred Experience
