The role
Reporting into the Platform Lead, the Platform Engineer role is a critical role within the Platforms Engineering team.
As Platforms Engineer, you will be responsible for the operational design, delivery, maintenance, enhancement & recycling of Platform / Infrastructure systems at Acenda. This includes scaling up the platform up and down, designing suitable and cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency and stability of the applications, whilst helping the business to deliver solutions at ease.
As part of a wider multi-domain team, you will interact and work closely with the Cloud and Network teams, enabling you to be involved in a variety of BAU and project work to drive synergies and consistencies across the enterprise environment.
About you
An experienced Platform Engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity, you possess strong expertise and knowledge in Linux, acting as a subject matter expert.
You demonstrate strong technical knowledge in various Linux operating systems (particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, and CentOS distributions) and also working on patching and / or vulnerability management asks.
