Overview
TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Benefits Analyst to administer the company’s benefit programs and serve as the subject matter expert as the company expands both inside and outside the United States. Today, the international benefits scope encompasses United States, Canada, United Kingdom, India, Ireland, and the Netherlands (and growing across Western Europe).
The ideal candidate will :
- be a “Go-Getter” with a desire to become a benefits subject matter expert (SME) under the leadership of the Benefits Director
- have good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- have the mindset of ongoing and continuous improvements and efficiencies
- have a laser focus on data integrity
- have a deep knowledge and understanding of US benefits and regulations with desire to quickly develop expertise outside of the United States
- provide strong customer service to the business leaders, dedicated country HR leaders, employees and their dependents
- have offshoring experience
Responsibilities
Manage and administer employee benefits, including health, life, and disability insurance, retirement plans, global time-off policies, including PTO / vacation / sick, leave of absence, and holiday schedules, and other employee benefits (or “like benefits” under each country’s regulatory requirements)Ensure compliance with legal requirements and government regulations related to employee benefits (will vary from country-to-country)Communicate effectively with employees, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders to resolve benefits-related issuesQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldAdvanced degree desired but not required5+ years of experience in benefits administrationExperience with Benefit Carrier online systems for benefits administrationProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis toolsStrong analytical, research and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsIn-depth knowledge of international health, welfare, and retirement plans and the laws, regulations and compliance requirements associated with eachExperience in project managementAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretionAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
