About the Role

The organization is seeking a leader to head its Health Underwriting function. The incumbent will drive a data-driven underwriting framework, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable the rapid launch of customer-centric, digitally powered health insurance products. The role requires strong expertise in risk assessment, pricing, analytics, and technology-led underwriting automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall health underwriting strategy and ensure adherence to guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Oversee risk assessment, pricing accuracy, and portfolio profitability for new and renewal business.
• Drive digital transformation using analytics, ML tools, and underwriting automation technologies.
• Partner with product, actuarial, tech, and data teams to design customer-centric health insurance products.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain strong governance controls.
• Monitor underwriting trends, provide management reporting, and identify emerging risks or opportunities.
• Stay updated on market practices and collaborate with industry partners, reinsurers, and regulators.
