Nuevosol Energy Private Limited is a leading provider of precision-engineered solar mounting structures for utility-scale and rooftop projects, driving innovation in the global clean energy transition. As part of its international expansion, Nuevosol is strengthening its Asset Performance and Operations team to enhance plant reliability, efficiency, and energy yield. The company is seeking a Performance Analyst to build and lead its performance analytics function - developing tools, models, and systems to analyze site data, benchmark performance, validate O&M metrics, and enable advanced analytics such as digital twin development and predictive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Performance Analytics Framework Development
- Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate and define performance analytics requirements, identifying key technical and financial metrics to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
- Develop and implement a performance analytics framework aligned with site design, available data, and key KPIs such as Performance Ratio (PR), Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF), availability, and specific yield.
- Proven experience in building an analytics function and identifying appropriate tools and technologies required.
- Conduct root cause analyses of underperformance related to equipment, design, or service, and propose actionable mitigation measures.
- Support the identification of losses in DC fields and validate the O&M provider’s Energy Availability Guarantee (EAG).
- Benchmark ’s performance against industry averages, peer plants, and long-term historical data.
2. Data Integration, Analysis, and Reporting
Collaborate with data storage and O&M teams to identify critical equipment, data outputs, and available project data for effective analysis.Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to resolve data communication issues and ensure timely data integration for accurate tracking.Build tools and calculations in Power BI or similar platforms to trend and compare equipment and plant performance against expected generation, availability, and historical trends.Create daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports highlighting key insights, areas of underperformance, and recommended actions.Communicate data-driven findings with internal stakeholders and external O&M providers to improve generation and optimize operations.3. Contractual and Performance Validation
Interpret Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and O&M contracts to accurately calculate contractual performance metrics.Review, reconcile, and validate contractual availability and energy guarantees with O&M providers and PPA counterparties.Ensure accurate categorization of downtime events and lost energy to identify responsible parties and maintain performance accountability.4. Digital Twin Development
Design and implement a real-time digital twin model of the Solar Project, integrating data from SCADA systems, sensors, and weather sources.Develop a physics-based model to simulate energy generation, efficiency losses, and degradation patterns for predictive performance analysis.Implement machine learning frameworks for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and automated alerts.Test and validate the digital twin by comparing predictions with field test data (IV, EL, IR flyover tests) and O&M logs, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.Deliverables & Timelines
