Role - Senior Legal Officer

Job Location - South Delhi.

Timing - 10.00 am - 7.00 pm.

Working Days - Monday - Saturday.

Experience - 6 - 10 years of experience in similar role.

Salary - Upto Rs. 10 Lac PA (CTC)

Position Overview :

The Senior Legal Officer will be responsible for handling complex legal and regulatory matters pertaining to Direct and Indirect Taxes, PMLA, FEMA and other Criminal & Civil Matters including but not limited to Income Tax, GST, Customs, and allied fiscal laws. The role involves providing strategic legal opinions, managing litigation at various appellate forums, coordinating with government authorities, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations across client engagements.

Key Responsibilities :

A. Direct Taxation (Income Tax, TDS, Appeals, Assessments) :

• Draft, vet, and review submissions, replies, and appeals before Income Tax Authorities, CIT(A), ITAT, and other appellate bodies.
• Represent clients before tax authorities and assist in litigation strategy formulation.
• Handle assessments, reassessment, rectifications, and penalty proceedings under the Income Tax Act.
• Provide advisory on corporate tax planning, withholding tax (TDS / TCS), and compliance management.
• Liaise with external counsels, auditors, and statutory agencies for client representation.
