Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive SEO audits of the Shopify site to identify gaps, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Perform competitor analysis to understand site structures, conversion setups, and content strategies of top-performing players.
- Develop actionable SEO roadmaps (quarterly, half-yearly, yearly) and present progress reports to management.
- Monitor website behavior using analytics tools to identify drop-off points, low-converting pages, and areas for CRO improvement.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to execute page layouts, mockups, and new templates for product, solution, and listicle pages.
- Optimize technical SEO elements — crawl budget, indexation, site speed, internal linking, canonicalization, and structured data.
- Implement and maintain schema markup (Product, Offer, Pricing, Review, Breadcrumb, etc.) to enhance SERP visibility.
- Perform ongoing keyword research, mapping, and content optimization aligned with search intent and e-commerce taxonomy.
- Conduct A / B testing and CRO experiments to identify the most effective layouts and page formats.
- Lead off-page SEO efforts, including link acquisition, digital PR, and monitoring backlink quality.
- Use AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, optimize tasks, and scale SEO-driven content creation.
- Work cross-functionally with content, design, and web development teams to align SEO with broader business goals.
Requirements : 3+ years
of proven SEO experience in e-commerce websites (Shopify experience required).
Strong understanding of Shopify SEO architecture, crawl optimization, and technical troubleshooting.Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Looker Studio.Deep knowledge of technical SEO, structured data, and site architecture best practices.Experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A / B testing methodologies.Ability to turn data insights into actionable strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in AI tools and automation for SEO, reporting, and scalable content generation.Experience in developing SEO frameworks that drive organic visibility, traffic, and conversions.Why Join Backdropsource :
