Job Description – Senior PHP Developer

Future Wave Labs is seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our growing technology team in Chennai. As part of our engineering division, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance web applications, APIs, and backend systems that power our AI-driven digital platforms, SaaS products, and automation solutions .

The ideal candidate is passionate about clean code, scalable architecture, and delivering reliable, secure software that integrates seamlessly across products. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to transform innovative concepts into robust, production-ready solutions.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable PHP-based web applications and APIs
• Implement MVC frameworks (preferably Laravel or CodeIgniter) and ensure clean, modular architecture
• Collaborate with front-end and UI / UX teams to ensure smooth integration and responsive design
• Develop and maintain databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) with optimized query performance
• Integrate applications with third-party APIs, AI modules, or cloud services as needed
• Write efficient, reusable, and well-documented code following best coding practices
• Conduct code reviews, performance testing, and debugging to ensure reliability
• Work closely with the DevOps team to manage deployment pipelines and server configurations
• Contribute to product strategy , providing input on architecture, scalability, and technical feasibility
• Stay updated on emerging web technologies, frameworks, and security standards
