Job Purpose :
To manage and support all IT-related operations of the School of Branding & Advertising, including technical oversight of the computer lab, studio equipment, and digital assets, ensuring smooth execution of academic and creative projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide daily technical support to faculty, staff, and students in the computer lab environment.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers and operating systems, including iMacs and other specialized equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues efficiently.
- Assist in the setup, calibration, and upkeep of studio equipment such as DSLR cameras, lighting systems, sound equipment, and other A / V tools.
- Offer on-ground support during studio-based academic and creative activities, including product photography, video recordings, and ad film shoots.
- Maintain a well-documented inventory of all IT and studio assets.
- Manage the secure issuance, tracking, and return of equipment such as cameras, accessories, and lab tools.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and accountability for equipment usage.
- Coordinate the scheduling, availability, and smooth functioning of the computer lab, currently operating over 44 hours per week.
- Organize regular maintenance, software updates, and performance checks of lab and studio systems.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient working environment within the lab and studio facilities.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration for planning and upgrading technical infrastructure based on evolving academic needs.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science or a related field.5-6 years of experience in IT support or lab management, preferably in an academic or media / production environment.Proficiency in macOS and Windows systems, hardware installation, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with studio equipment (DSLRs, lighting, audio-visual tools) is an added advantage.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
