Cityflo - Senior Product Engineer - Backend Architecture

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer (Backend) who thrives at the intersection of product, design, and engineering. Youll be responsible for building end-to-end features from ideation to deployment that directly impact our customers. You will work across backend, DevOps and deployment, collaborating closely with product and design to ship high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other core business teams to translate business requirements into working features.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend services using Python (Django) and Golang.
• Architect scalable APIs, data models, and system integrations to support product features.
• Own features end-to-end : from database design, API development, to deployment.
• Ensure backend systems follow best practices for performance, security, reliability, and scalability.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding agents / tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to improve velocity and maintain code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-functional collaborations.
• Continuously explore and integrate new technologies to improve product and engineering workflows.
