About the Role :
We are looking for a seasoned Product Design Manager to lead the design efforts across our Credit Card, Loans, Peer-to-Peer Lending, and Insurance verticals. This role is critical to ensuring our products deliver intuitive, delightful, and high-impact experiences. You will play a key part in shaping strategy, guiding execution, and mentoring a team of talented product designers.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role requiring deep user empathy, exceptional craft, and the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
Key Responsibilities :
Design Leadership & Execution :
- Lead end-to-end design strategy and execution for key product verticals : credit cards, loans, lending, and insurance.
- Set and maintain a high bar for design qualityfrom wireframes and prototypes to polished, production-ready UI.
- Champion user-centric design decisions by embedding research, data, and customer feedback into the design process.
- Translate complex user problems and business goals into elegant, scalable, and technically feasible design solutions.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure timely delivery and pixel-perfect execution.
Team Management & Mentorship :
Manage and mentor a team of product designers, helping them grow in both craft and impact.Drive design critiques, provide actionable feedback, and help the team navigate stakeholder relationships.Foster a collaborative design culture built on curiosity, critical thinking, and Collaboration :Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Research to align design efforts with product roadmaps.Act as the voice of the user across departments, advocating for meaningful, inclusive, and accessible design.Participate in strategic planning, product reviews, and metrics definition to ensure design contributes to measurable outcomes.Design Systems & Standards :
Contribute to and evolve our design systems to maintain visual consistency and design efficiency.Ensure accessibility, usability, and brand alignment across all customer touchpoints.Culture & Strategy :

8+ years of hands-on experience designing user-centered digital products.2+ years in a design management or leadership capacity.Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work with measurable business impact.Expertise in UX / UI design, interaction design, and visual design principles.Experience working in consumer-tech or fintech environments is highly preferred.Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, etc.).Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform design decisions.Working knowledge of AI / ML-powered tools and design applications is a strong plus.Excellent communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile startup environment.(ref : hirist.tech)
