About the Role

Hill Spring International School is seeking a talented and creative

Communications & Social Media Manager

to shape and strengthen the school’s public voice across digital and print platforms.

This is a

part-time / freelance position

suited for an experienced communications professional who can independently plan and oversee content, ensure brand consistency, and direct creative outputs. The ideal candidate will understand how to tell authentic stories about education, school life, and community through compelling visuals and language.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Communications

Develop and oversee the school’s communications plan across social media, newsletters, and website.

Craft engaging written content that highlights school achievements, culture, and events.

Maintain the school’s brand tone, design consistency, and messaging across all touchpoints.

Draft press releases, announcements, and key communications for external and internal audiences.

Coordinate with leadership and academic teams to align messaging with institutional priorities.

Social Media & Creative Direction

Plan and manage a monthly content calendar.

Direct photographers, videographers, and designers to produce high-quality, aesthetic content.

Oversee social media storytelling — ensuring posts, reels, and visuals reflect the school’s ethos.

Track engagement analytics and optimize performance.

Maintain timely coverage of major events and updates (site visits as needed).

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mass Communication, Marketing, or related field.

4–7 years of experience in communications, PR, or digital media (education sector experience preferred).

Excellent writing and editorial skills.

Strong creative direction — able to brief, guide, and review design and content work.

Understanding of social media trends and engagement strategy.

Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and collaborate remotely.
