Roles And Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Engineering department, fostering a culture of innovation and academic excellence.
- Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum, ensuring compliance with regulatory norms and accreditation processes.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively, including faculty, staff, and budget, to support the smooth running of the department.
- Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to build strong networks and partnerships, enhancing the reputation and opportunities for the Engineering department.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of faculty and staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering the personal and professional growth of students.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, implementing relevant changes in the curriculum to keep pace with technological advancements.
- Participate in university committees and meetings, contributing to the overall strategic planning and decision-making process.
- Handle any administrative duties related to the Engineering department, such as admissions, student grievances, and disciplinary actions.
Qualification Requirements
PhD degree and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelors or Masters level in the relevant branch of Engineering & Technology.At least two successful PhD guided as supervisor / Co-supervisor and minimum & research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals.Minimum 20 years of experience in teaching / research / / industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be at the post equivalent to that of professor out of which at least 3 years shall be as Principal in NIRF / NAAC Ranked Institutions.Age should not exceed 55 years.Skills Required
