Engineer - Power Electronics

We are seeking a skilled Engineer - Power Electronics with sound knowledge and hands-on experience in power conversion topologies and the design of low / medium power Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). This role requires a thorough understanding of electronic component selection, PCB layout design, and strong expertise in analogue and mixed-signal circuits.

Key Responsibilities & Knowledge

• Possess sound knowledge of various power conversion topologies : Converter, Inverter, rectifier configurations, buck-boost designs, power factor control & related.
• Have hands-on experience in designing of low / medium power Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) - AC / DC and DC / DC converters and testing procedures.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the selection criteria & key specifications of all electronic components and be able to independently select based on design requirements.
• Be capable of interpreting the electrical parameters in device data sheets .
• Have worked on PCB layout design software .
• Possess strong working knowledge in the design of analogue and mixed signal circuits .
• Have handled test equipment like AC / DC Power sources, electronic loads, temperature probes, Oscilloscopes etc.
• Possess sound knowledge / understanding of Magnetic materials, transformer and inductor designs for SMPS and be familiar with thermal analysis and estimation of heat sink requirements in the design.
• Be familiar with EMI / EMC Standards, testing procedures, and designing for the same .
