Department : Core Leadership – Backend

Reports To : Founder / CEO

Team : Depot Executives, Accounts Assistants, Legal / Compliance Partners

Role Overview :

We are looking for a detail-driven, dependable Operations & Finance Head based in Kolkata, who will take full ownership of depot coordination, financial management, and legal compliance. This is a leadership role that sits at the backbone of the company's execution engine — helping ensure stock moves efficiently, accounts are accurate, and all statutory / legal work is in order.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Depot Operations & Coordination

  • Oversee day-to-day working of depots across India – stock inward, dispatches, damages, returns.
  • Monitor order fulfilment SLAs across Modern Trade, General Trade, and E-commerce partners.
  • Ensure depot stock levels are within min–max norms; track stock ageing and reconciliation monthly.
  • Review CFA agreements, enforce SOPs, and resolve disputes or escalations related to logistics.

2. Finance & Accounts

  • Manage day-to-day accounting, working capital, and cash flow planning for the company.
  • Track receivables from channel partners, online platforms, and distributors; ensure timely collections.
  • Oversee payables to vendors, freight partners, and CFAs — within budgeted timelines.
  • Lead coordination with external accounting firms for bookkeeping, GST, TDS, and audit compliance.
  • Maintain item-wise, depot-wise cost sheets including conversion, packaging, transport, and taxes.

    • 3. Legal & Statutory Compliance

  • Manage and maintain all agreements : CFAs, vendors, transporters, Modern Trade TOTs, NDAs, etc.
  • Track renewals, insurance claims, and legal documentation (Udyam, MSME, GST, ROC, etc.).
  • Coordinate with legal consultants for contract vetting, dispute resolution, or regulatory issues.
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all statutory bodies and authorities.

    • 4. MIS & Data Reporting

  • Design and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards for :
  • Sales performance by depot, channel, SKU
  • Stock availability and ageing by depot
  • Outstanding collections and credit cycle tracking
  • Profitability dashboards – SKU-wise, depot-wise, customer category-wise

    • Candidate Profile :

  • Education : CA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com / Semi-qualified CA
  • Experience : 5–10 years in FMCG, D2C, or distribution-led business
  • Strong grounding in depot operations, financial hygiene, and basic legal handling
  • Advanced Excel skills, good understanding of ERPs (e.g. RealBooks, Zoho, Tally), and Google Sheets
  • Process-driven, disciplined, able to work hands-on while setting scalable backend systems
  • Based in Kolkata, with ability to travel to depots occasionally
