Responsibilities :
- Create amazing-looking real-time FX in Unity for immersive game experiences.
- Collaborate with Art, Gameplay, Design, and Animation teams to develop in-game FX elements, from early prototyping to final implementation.
- Use engine authoring toolsets, 3D Max, Substance, and other VFX authoring packages to produce particles, systems, textures, and simulations.
- Implement VFX content directly, including in-world placement and scripting of gameplay-driven behaviors.
- Contribute to the enhancement of proprietary engine VFX systems, including particle effect authoring, scripting, sequencing tools, and pipelines.
- Place and trigger FX within the game world effectively.
- Work closely with Art, Design, and Engineering teams to solve artistic and technical challenges.
- Develop a deep understanding of art direction and create effects to support the visual vision.
- Ensure effects meet performance budgets and take ownership of memory and performance costs.
Required Skills :
Experience creating real-time particle effects in Unity.Proficiency with industry-standard content creation software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Photoshop, and Substance.Strong Unity skills and experience with real-time VFX authoring toolsets.Knowledge of shaders and ability to implement them in Unity (added advantage).Understanding of game production pipelines and life cycles.Critical eye for timing, animation, and motion in visual effects.Ability to create complete FX assets from prototype to final implementation.Experience with scripting languages like Blueprint or Python is a plus.Knowledge of secondary areas such as modeling, skinning, animation, or lighting is beneficial.Passion for games, art, and innovation in gaming VFX.Qualifications and Experience :
Prior experience as a VFX artist in games using real-time engines.Portfolio demonstrating both technical and artistic execution of real-time VFX.Experience working with multiple game projects.Interest in games and emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality.Skills Required
