We are seeking a Software Engineer Lead to guide and mentor a team of engineers in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. This role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, and driving continuous improvement across engineering processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle and ensure operational excellence within the team.
- Build, coach, and nurture a high-performing engineering team through mentoring, goal setting, and regular feedback.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management to align team objectives with business and customer needs.
- Provide technical direction and input across SDLC activities such as planning, estimation, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Drive solution design, architecture reviews, and continuous code quality improvement.
- Identify and propose initiatives to improve performance, reduce technical debt, and enhance system security.
- Contribute to hands-on software design and development while supporting team members technically.
- Champion best practices, efficient tooling, and agile processes to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Required Skills & Experience :
Proven experience leading, mentoring, and managing high-performing software development teams.Strong expertise in Object-Oriented Design, Enterprise Databases, Java or .NET, GIT, and Web Services.Exposure to AWS, CRM systems, and the Utilities industry is advantageous.Excellent understanding of software architecture, system design, and agile development methodologies.Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and inspire others.Preferred Attributes :
