Role : Program Manager cum Release Train Engineer (RTE)

We're looking for an experienced Program Manager cum Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our team in Chennai, India. This hybrid role focuses on driving the successful delivery of enhancements, small to mid-size projects, and product releases / go-lives specifically for our Life Sciences (LS) GxP applications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be ready to work in shifts to support global operations.
Key Responsibilities and Core Skills
Program / Project Management
Manage the full lifecycle of enhancements and small to mid-size projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet scope requirements.
Release Train Engineering (RTE)
Facilitate and manage the Agile Release Train (ART) events and processes (e.g., PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos). Coach teams and drive relentless improvement.
Release / Go-Live Management
Lead and coordinate product releases and go-live activities for LS GxP applications, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal business disruption.
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact; effectively communicate program status, risks, and dependencies to all stakeholders, including senior management.
Risk and Dependency Management
Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program and release risks, impediments, and cross-team dependencies.
Process Adherence
Ensure all program and release activities adhere to company standards, governance frameworks, and GxP compliance requirements.
Mandatory Requirements
Experience : 8 to 12 years of overall experience in IT project / program management, with significant experience in a Release Train Engineer or similar scaling Agile role.
Core Skills : Proven expertise in project management methodologies (Agile / Scrum / SAFe), release management, and program governance.
Location / Schedule : Must be based in Chennai, India, and willing to work in shifts (rotational / fixed) to align with global business hours.
Nice to Have
Prior experience or knowledge of Manufacturing IT applications or systems.
Familiarity with the specific regulatory landscape and compliance requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP) associated with Life Sciences GxP systems.
SAFe certification (e.g., RTE, SPC).
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
