The Opportunity

Antonio Catholic School is seeking two compassionate and committed Education Support Officers – Curriculum to provide dedicated indivudalised support for students engaging in Highly Personalised Curriculums (HPC). These students require tailored educational approaches, and you will play a key role in helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As part of our inclusive and student-focused team, you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to implement individual learning plans, foster engagement, and create a nurturing environment that supports each student’s unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support to students with formally identified disabilities, following Highly Personalised Curriculums (HPC) and Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL).
  • Assist students in small groups and one-on-one settings to support learning across all curriculum areas.
  • Support teaching staff by adapting teaching aids and applying personal knowledge and initiative to modify education programs to meet individual student needs.
  • Prepare and organise educational materials, resources, and equipment for classroom use, ensuring a well-structured and conducive learning environment.
  • Support a safe, orderly, and successful learning environment through the implementation of behavioural management strategies.
  • Support teachers in creating and maintaining positive, respectful, and engaging learning environments.
  • Assist teachers in the preparation of communications to parents / caregivers, counsellors, therapists, and other relevant parties on student progress and associated topics.

About You

  • Hold a Certificate II / III / IV or Diploma in Education Support (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in supporting student learning in a school setting, particularly in indivudalised support environments would be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work and interact successfully with children, including those with disabilities.
  • Be a team player, offering flexibility and a willingness to support others in a collaborative school environment.
  • Able to work under direction, follow instructions, and use initiative to support student learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all interactions.
