Assistant Manager - Validation (Hardware)

Job descriptionValidate relay performance, endurance, and switching reliability. Conduct high-voltage impulse tests up to 30 kV, insulation, leakage tests. Verify jammer immunity (RF, GSM, GPRS, NB-IoT). Ensure compliance with IS 16444, IS 13779, IS 15959, IEC 62052 / 62053. Perform environmental, EMC / EMI, surge, and thermal tests. Operate validation instruments – power analyzer, oscilloscope, HV tester, surge generator, magnet Prepare validation and tamper test reports for utility approvals and third-party labs (ERDA, CPRI). Drive RCA and CAPA; recommend hardware improvements. Coordinate with design, QA, and certification teams. Knowledge of Smart Meter hardware (MCU, metering IC, SMPS, relay, RTC, comm modules). Expertise in tamper testing, magnet & relay validation, 30 kV impulse, jammer immunity. Familiar with BIS / IS / IEC standards and utility test protocols. Hands-on with validation tools and automation. Analytical, reporting, and team coordination skills.
