Job description :

An accounts payable specialist is there to make sure all bills are paid in an efficient and timely manner. These financial specialists provide administrative and clerical support by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses, and keeping a record of it all for tax purposes.

Job Responsibilities

# Respond to external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process, including processing invoices for payment, recording taxes, assisting with bank reconciliations, and documenting loans.

# Monitor all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts

# Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments

# Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate and confirm that the correct general ledger account codes are used.

# Research information to provide accurate and timely solutions to internal clients and vendors at multiple locations.

# Inspect paid and unpaid invoices including cleared payment inquiries and check voiding to maintain accurate files and records according to company standards.

# Review automatic payments to ensure correct coding and authorization as well as sufficient contracts and documentation.

# Develop and maintain a filing system for financial information, records and documents to ensure easily available information.

# Monitor account balances, track expenses, prepare analyses of accounts and related financial activity to produce monthly financial reports.

Job Skills & Qualifications Required :

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance with relevant work experience

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to use Microsoft software such as Advance Excel & Word

Ability to consistently meet all deadlines

Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Education

Chartered Accountancy Inter (C.A Inter), Master in Landscape Architecture, Master of Accounting, ICWA Inter, ICWA (CMA), Master of Tax Accounting, Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), Chartered Accountancy (C.A), Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor in General Studies (BGS), Master OF Business Administration (M.B.A), Bachelor of Liberal Arts (BLA / ALB), Master of Commerce (M.Com)
