SAP Business ByDesign Consultant

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business ByDesign Consultant to support finance and procurement-focused workstreams. The consultant will run client-facing demos, support discovery workshops, configure ByDesign modules, and provide hands-on guidance across finance, procurement, and supplier management processes. This is a freelance contract role requiring strong communication skills and the ability to engage directly with senior business users.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver client demos showcasing SAP ByD finance and procurement capabilities (P2P, AP, approvals, supplier management, reporting, etc.).
• Support discovery workshops and gather requirements from finance, procurement, and commercial stakeholders.
• Configure key ByDesign modules including :
• General Ledger, AP, AR, Cash & Liquidity
• Procurement & purchasing workflows
• Supplier onboarding and vendor management
• Assist with process design for procure-to-pay, invoice matching, financial approvals, and supplier lifecycle processes.
• Prepare and maintain simple documentation (configuration notes, process flows, demo scripts).
• Perform end-to-end testing and support UAT activities.
• Provide light-touch post-demo support, clarification and solution walkthroughs.

Solid functional knowledge of finance, procurement, and supplier management. Ability to independently prepare and deliver high-quality client demos. Good understanding of P2P, AP, GL, budget controls, and approval workflows. Comfortable running workshops and interacting with senior users. Ability to work independently in a freelance environment. Desirable Experience : Prior experience supporting multi-entity organisations. Familiarity with data migration, testing steps, or reporting in ByDesign. Experience in fast-paced or consultancy-style roles. Engagement Details : Freelance / Contract role Remote with occasional client meetings (if required) Competitive daily rate depending on experience Start date : Immediate / ASAP
