Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• 10+ years of experience in Aero environment with knowledge of structural design of metal aircraft and repairs.
• Knowledge of structural design rules and methods for metals and selection of materials.
• Well versed with SRM (Structural Repair Manuals)
• Work experience in design concessions OR repairs is an added advantage
• Creation of EA (Engineering Authorization) in Windchill with respect to EAR (Engineering Authorization Request) in Windchill portal.
• Identification of various discrepancies identified during installation of P2F. Addressing the discrepancies and provide design solution in the areas of aero structural and mechanical system. Understanding the drawing of P2F and incoming aircraft.
• Provide design solution in line with stress engineer to discrepancies.
• Identification of MOD using PDM tool WINDCHILL and also through TASKY, GLIDA, ZAMIZ etc.
• Creation of DCN (Drawing Change Note), DQN (Design Query Note), ECP (Engineering Change Proposal).
• Creation and update of BOM in Windchill.
• Design Modification of aero structural metallic parts.
• Execute projects independently without supervision.
• Collaborate and communicate with cross functional teams and all stakeholders.
• Providing guidance and mentoring team during project execution.
• Quickly understand existing process and adaptation to project requirements
• Responsible to follow checklist and process as per project requirements.
• Responsible for the on-time and quality of the deliverables.
• Supports the technical lead in delivering a technically correct product right first time

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Aero methods and report writing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering
• Working experience in Aero environment with knowledge of structural design of metal aircraft and repairs preferable with A330 and A320/A321 aircrafts.
• Experience in Passenger to Freighter conversion (P2F) would be advantage.
• Experience in Aircraft Structure design, structural repairs, concession, and aircraft build support.
• Better understanding of production queries during conversion/integration.
• Finding solution for discrepancies in the area of structure (Fuselage/Wing) and coordinating with all relevant team like static, fatigue and production
• Experience in documenting non conformities like Engineering Authorization(EA), Design Query notes etc.
• Quick support for minor changes in drawing to create drawing change notes(DCN)
• Experience in Windchill and release process
• Experience in working with CAD Tool Catia v5 for 3D solid modelling and 2D Drawing.
