Key Responsibilities :
- Game Concept & Systems Design :
- Develop and refine core gameplay loops, progression systems, and in-game reward economies.
- Design monetization (IAP) funnels and features tailored for casual audiences.
- Maintain detailed design documentation, flowcharts, and prototypes for clarity and collaboration.
- Monetization & Live-Ops :
- Design and balance virtual currencies, shops, and event systems to optimize ARPDAU and LTV.
- Use A / B testing and player data analysis to iterate on engagement and monetization features.
- Economy Design :
- Architect balanced virtual economies with appropriate currency sinks, pacing, and pricing models.
- Evaluate economic health through data and adjust reward structures for optimal player satisfaction.
- UI / UX Collaboration :
- Partner with UX / UI designers to ensure seamless and intuitive interfaces with strong player feedback loops.
- Translate gameplay mechanics into user-friendly interactive designs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with engineering, art, and product teams to implement and test new features.
- Provide design insights to live-ops and user acquisition campaigns.
- Player Research & Testing :
- Conduct internal playtests and support external testing to validate game balance and player engagement.
- Analyze player feedback, reviews, and telemetry data to guide design improvements.
- Documentation & Communication :
- Clearly document design rationale and present ideas during sprint planning and reviews.
- Mentor junior designers, promoting best practices in free-to-play game design.
