About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Chemistry Content Lead to spearhead the development of our comprehensive test-prep question banks for high-stakes standardized tests. As our Chemistry Content Lead for this product line, you'll build the foundation for rigorous, pedagogically sound content across AP Chemistry, JEE, and CUET. You'll lead a build and mentor a team of SMEs and establish quality standards that help students internalize key concepts and perform under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Strategy
- Design and oversee creation of exhaustive question banks for AP Chemistry, JEE, CUET, etc.
- Develop a balanced distribution of questions from foundational recall exercises to rigorous test-level questions
- Establish content frameworks that align with testing blueprints
- Create difficulty taxonomies and tagging systems for adaptive learning pathways
- Ensure questions progressively build conceptual understanding and test-taking confidence
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and manage a team of junior Chemistry SMEsEstablish quality assurance protocols and review processes for all Chemistry contentProvide feedback and mentorship to help SMEs develop expertise in assessment writingConduct regular calibration sessions to ensure consistency in difficulty levels and explanationsQuality & Pedagogical Excellence
Write exemplar questions that model best practices in assessment designDevelop detailed solution explanations that reinforce conceptual understandingReview and edit all questions for accuracy, clarity, and pedagogical valueIdentify and eliminate bias, ambiguity, and potential confusion in problem statementsEnsure questions reflect diverse contextsCross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with product and engineering teams to implement content effectivelyCollaborate with other Content Leads to maintain consistent quality across subjectsAnalyze student performance data to identify content gaps and improvement opportunitiesStay current with changes to test formats, content specifications, and scoring rubricsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Chemistry, or a related STEM field (Master's preferred)2+ years of experience in Chemistry teaching / content-development at high school or college level preferredExperience managing or mentoring educators or content developers preferredExceptional written communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearlyMeticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracySkills Required
