A UI / UX Lead is a senior role responsible for guiding the design team, developing design strategy, and overseeing user-centric design for digital products. Key duties include conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with product managers and developers to ensure intuitive and cohesive user experiences across all platforms. This role also involves mentoring junior designers and maintaining design consistency and quality.
Key responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor : Guide and mentor a team of UI / UX designers, fostering best practices and ensuring quality in all design deliverables.
- Strategy and vision : Develop and implement design strategies that align with business objectives, and provide creative direction for projects.
- User research and testing : Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to inform design decisions and identify pain points.
- Design creation : Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups, while also leading the development of design systems and reusable components.
- Cross-functional collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to create seamless user experiences.
- Quality and consistency : Ensure design consistency and adherence to standards, such as accessibility (WCAG) and brand guidelines, across all digital platforms.
- Stakeholder communication : Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, and effectively communicate design choices and rationale.
- Stay current : Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools to continuously improve the user experience.
Required skills and experience :
Proven experience in UI / UX design, with a portfolio of work.Expertise in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and usability testing tools.Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.Experience managing projects and leading a team.Familiarity with front-end code and web technologies is often a plus.
