The Role
Kyndryl is looking for a curious and proactive Manager to build and lead one of our Infrastructure teams. Our Infrastructure teams are the foundation our success in part by building and maintaining our own internal IaaS. Our technically skilled engineers exhibit passion and expertise in building and maintaining Skytap's cloud services.
As the leader of this team, in the hardware systems domain you will be working to procure, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot Skytap storage, x86, and IBM Power servers across the company; support Skytap datacenter and co-location spaces; and participate in the team's hardware asset management and inventory programs.

Who You Are
Your Responsibilities :
- Define vision and set direction for a team of Technicians and Engineers, anticipating strategic growth and scaling-related challenges
- Collaborate with internal service teams to troubleshoot and resolve server and network infrastructure issues
- Manage relationships with vendors including IaaS, SaaS and co-location providers
- Work with your team to build out best practices for operationally maintaining applications running on public cloud platforms
- Participate in the administration and maintenance of Skytap global infrastructure health, including responding to alerts and diagnosing and recovering from service-impacting incidents
- Create system and process documentation
- Direct the development of automation using Ansible and Puppet to standardize deployment and maintenance processes and reduce time to diagnose and repair defects
- Manage development of processes and tools related to procurement, building, and quality assurance of server hardware and storage systems, including configuration of out-of-band interfaces (iLO / iDRAC / BMC), BIOS settings, and firmware levels
Your Skills :
Experience leading a service engineering team and translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet quality of service expectations5+ years technical experience and strong knowledge of Unix / Linux operating systems5+ years experience performing hardware procurement, deployment, management, and troubleshooting, preferably with HPE, Dell, and Supermicro; experience with IBM Power systems is a plusExperience working with Virtualization / Cloud technologies, such as VMWare (preferred), OpenStack, AWS, AzureExperience with configuration management and orchestration using Ansible and / or PuppetProficiency in monitoring, logging, and system management tools such as Zabbix, Splunk, and Device42Understanding of security concepts and technologies, including authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA), encryption, and server hardeningWorking knowledge of Jira and Confluence or other ticketing and documentation toolsSkills Required
