Position : Backend Software Developer

Industry : Product-based (Quick Commerce / eCommerce preferred)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Backend Software Developer with 2–3 years of experience in a product-based company. The role involves developing and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, and services that power our applications. Prior experience in Quick Commerce, eCommerce, or other consumer-facing platforms will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Build and manage APIs (RESTful / GraphQL) to support product functionalities.
  • Optimize application performance and database queries for scalability.
  • Ensure application reliability, security, and performance standards are met.
  • Work with cloud services ( AWS / GCP / Azure ) for hosting and deployment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and best practices for software development.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and help improve overall system design.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on backend development experience in a product-based company.
  • Proficiency in backend programming language Node.js(must have) , Python, etc.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Express.js and Graphql.
  • Strong understanding of databases (SQL / NoSQL – MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis) .
  • Exposure to microservices architecture, APIs, and event-driven systems like Kafka / RabbitMQ.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) and CI / CD practices.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) will be a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka for event-driven systems.
  • Experience with Elastic Search will be considered a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage and execute projects with self-starting attitude, responsibility, and accountability
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Should be comfortable working in evening shift (from 2pm IST onwards)
