Job Description
Server & Infrastructure Management :
- Configuration server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Manage and support physical and virtual server environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Troubleshoot server issues related to hardware, software, and network configurations.
- Collaborate with L1 support and other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
Backup, Disaster Recovery & Data Protection
Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.Utilize and manage backup tools such as-■ Veeam Backup & Replication for virtual, physical, and cloud workloads.
Ensure backup integrity and perform regular test restores to validate disaster recovery plans.Maintain documentation of backup configurations, schedules, and recovery procedures.Security & Compliance
Implement and maintain security protocols to protect network and server infrastructure.Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.Respond to security incidents and provide resolutions.Documentation And Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of network and server configurations, processes, and procedures.Generate regular reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.Provide training and support to L1 support staff and end-users as needed.Requirements
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.3-5 years of experience in network and server support, preferably in an L2 capacity.Technical Skills
Strong understanding of network protocols, services, and standards (e.g., TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).Experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) and server platforms (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).Knowledge of security practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, including tools like Veeam.Certifications
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA.Soft Skills
