We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Billing Engineer to join our dynamic construction team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes across complex building and road infrastructure projects. The Billing Engineer will serve as a key financial liaison between project teams, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring all billing activities align with contractual obligations, project milestones, and company standards. With 5+ years of hands-on experience in construction billing—specifically in building and road projects—the ideal candidate will bring a strong command of cost tracking, progress billing, and subcontractor coordination. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining project cash flow, minimizing financial risk, and supporting overall project profitability. The successful candidate will be proficient in navigating project-specific documentation, managing billing cycles, and resolving discrepancies with precision and professionalism.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and submit accurate, timely progress billing statements in accordance with contract terms and project milestones.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to verify completed work and validate quantities for billing.
- Review and analyze subcontractor invoices for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with contract agreements.
- Maintain detailed records of all billing activities, change orders, and variations for audit and reporting purposes.
- Track project costs and compare actuals against budgets to identify potential overruns or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of billing data into financial systems.
- Conduct regular reconciliations between billed amounts, payments received, and outstanding balances.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes with subcontractors and clients promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements in all billing documentation.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and project performance dashboards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in construction billing, with specific focus on building and road infrastructure projects.Demonstrated experience managing billing for subcontractors, including invoice validation and payment tracking.Proficiency in construction-specific software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Sage 300, or equivalent).Strong understanding of contract administration, change orders, and variation claims.Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Strong communication and negotiation skills for resolving billing issues with internal and external stakeholders.Experience with MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and project management tools.Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining high accuracy under tight deadlines.Requirements
Manage the day-to-day operations at the construction site, ensuring project timelines, quality, and safety standards are strictly adhered to. Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to plan construction activities efficiently. Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor project progress, resource utilization, and budget compliance, taking corrective actions as needed. Lead site meetings and provide regular progress reports to management and clients. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, and safety norms on-site. Identify and resolve potential issues proactively to avoid project delays or cost overruns. Supervise material procurement and inventory management at the site. Mentor and guide project engineers, supervisors, and site staff.
