Role Overview :

Own end-to-end merchandising for export apparel programs-buyer communication, costing, samples, RM approvals, production handover, factory follow-ups, and shipment planning-ensuring on-time delivery and quality adherence.

Key Responsibilities :

• Correspond with buyers on package dates, costing, and sample availability.
• Prepare, update, and compile cost sheets.
• Review samples (construction, fall, fit, drape, wash) before dispatch; share R&D comments.
• Ensure raw materials and style approvals are secured in time to meet package dates.
• Maintain Delay Schedule; share for ratification and documentation.
• Prepare production package (checklist, pattern mini-marker, approved sample with comments).
• Create / hand over full production file (fabric / trim swatches, spec sheets, comments, wash standards, emb / print swatches) to PPC after review.
• Attend pre-production meetings with factory / Production Manager.
• Review factory production weekly (preferably Wednesday post-lunch).
• Send shipment schedules to Commercial (preferably Thursday).
• Update all departments on confirmed orders.
• Sign off approvals for fabric and trims.
• Conduct weekly review of production chart and share feedback.
• Check & approve trims swatch card post PPC review. (Intentionally reserved numbering in source JD)
• Coordinate and control activities of staff reporting to this role.
