Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data & AI Architect to be part of Legal, Audit, Risk & CFCC domains who is highly skilled in designing and architecting large and complex data and Agentic AI applications. Delivering value to our customers is at the core of what our teams do - this role works closely with Enterprise architecture teams to ensure alignment of application architecture to broader enterprise architecture patterns and strategies.
This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust and scalable data architecture that meets the needs of our legal, risk, audit, and compliance technology initiatives. This role will closely with cross-functional teams to identify data needs, develop data models, and ensure that data is accurate, reliable, and available for analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities Strategy
- Clear understanding of the Enterprise Architecture patterns and strategy.
- Drive the simplification, standardization, improve reusability of the solutions and adoption of industry best practices across all data applications in the domains
- Work with other Data Architects across Functions Architecture and Group Architecture to ensure that Group and Functions Architecture Strategies are executed within the area of responsibility.
- Drive optimisation with a rigorous focus on efficiency & optimisation of application infrastructure capacity.
- Drive innovation in improving the quality of the data and in monetizing the data
Business
Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the group operates.Knowledge of end-to-end data flows for Legal, Audit, Risk and Compliance domainsUnderstanding of regulatory frameworks like BCBS239 which mandate data lineage and data quality standards.Managing the technology evolution and maintaining its long-term vision & roadmap and communicating the technology vision & strategy to stakeholders by participating RFs and QPRs.Processes
Creating and maintaining architectural documentation and diagrams, and for communicating the design and technical direction to the development team.Prepare Solution Intent documents and work with domain architects in getting it approvedPerform threat modelling and work with SACA team to get SACA request approvedPresent proposed solutions in ARF and FTC and working with domain architects to get approvalsIdentifying and addressing any technical issues or bottlenecks in the application, and for leading technical discussions and reviewsWork with hive leads and engineering teams to ensure data applications are complaint with SCM, SDF and ICS standards and adopt bank standard CI / CD pipelines.Establish and publish engineering best practices and standards for Engineering teams and ensure that Engineering teams follow these standards.Help in the selection of technologies and frameworks to be used in the development of the applications and help in the design of the system's infrastructure and deployment.Bring outside in view of industry trends and emerging technologies to development teams and management.Improve speed to value by adopting composable and evolutionary architectures and increasing the reusability.Identifying and addressing scalability, performance, and security issues in Legal, Audit, Risk and CFCC data applications.People & Talent
Provide Architecture and Engineering guidance to the Project teamHelping engineering teams to become more productive by empowering them with modern tool stack and helping them to shift left the DevOps and DevSecOps practices &toolsWork with Project teams to lead and drive Evaluations and Proof of Concepts for new technologies and other strategic technology initiativesLead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Work in collaboration with risk and control partners.Increasing participation in technical communities and guildsBuild future pipeline of engineering talent by upskilling and reskilling the existing engineersRisk Management
