About the Role
The Associate Editor will play a central role in managing the end-to-end editorial production cycle of the magazine and its digital ecosystem. This position demands strong editorial acumen, deadline-driven execution, cross-functional coordination, and creative leadership in driving engaging and industry-relevant content.
Responsibilities
Editorial Planning & Content Creation
- Plan, coordinate, and execute monthly magazine issues—from concept to print.
- Create, review, and edit diverse content including news articles, features, industry interviews, case studies, trend reports, and cover stories.
- Ensure editorial alignment with the magazine’s themes, industry focus, and brand voice.
- Maintain accuracy, readability, and relevance of all published content.
Monthly Closing & Coordination
Lead the monthly closing process for the magazine by coordinating with editorial, design, marketing, and production teams.Ensure timely delivery of all content sections and adherence to print and digital deadlines.Maintain and monitor the editorial calendar, contributor pipeline, and issue progress.Digital & Online Content
Manage daily website updates—including news uploads, opinion pieces, interviews, and sponsored content.Work closely with the web and SEO teams to optimise articles for search and audience engagement.Oversee the social media content strategy for OEM Update’s handles (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), ensuring regular and impactful SMM posts.Event & Webinar Management
Conceptualise, curate, and moderate webinars, virtual panels, and live digital sessions under OEM Update’s knowledge series.Support editorial content creation and coordination for OEM Update Conferences, roundtables, and industry summits.Collaborate with marketing and partnerships teams for speaker outreach and post-event coverage.Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of content writers, correspondents, and designers, ensuring smooth coordination and on-time delivery.Review and refine the team’s output to maintain high editorial and visual standards.Coordinate with contributors, industry experts, and freelancers for special features and interviews.Performance & Quality
Drive deadline-based performance with strict adherence to editorial schedules and content quality benchmarks.Analyze audience insights and engagement metrics to guide editorial strategy and improvement.Uphold brand integrity, industry credibility, and journalistic ethics in all editorial operations.Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field.
Minimum 4–6 years of editorial experience, preferably in B2B, manufacturing, or technology media.
