Job Description – Oncologist and Radiation Oncologist
Key Responsibilities
- Provide domain expertise in oncology for AI-based interpretation of X-ray images.
- Assist the AI / ML team in annotating, reviewing, and validating oncology-related X-ray datasets.
- Support development and refinement of models detecting cancers such as :
- Lung cancer
- Bone metastasis
- Chest abnormalities
- Soft-tissue irregularities
- Evaluate diagnostic accuracy, false positives / negatives, and clinical relevance of AI outputs.
- Participate in clinical trials , pilot studies, and performance validation across partner hospitals and rural clinics.
- Contribute to clinical safety protocols, diagnostic guidelines, and imaging workflows.
- Provide medical insights for regulatory documents (CDSCO / CE / FDA).
- Train internal teams and field workers on oncology interpretation and imaging best practices.
- Engage with NGOs, government medical institutions, and global health partners for joint deployments.
Required Skills & Expertise
MD / DNB in Medical Oncology, Oncology, or related specialization.3–10 years of clinical experience in oncology diagnostics.Strong understanding of X-ray-based cancer detection (thorax, bone, pelvis, etc.).Experience with digital radiography, PACS, tele-radiology , and medical imaging workflows.Familiarity with AI / ML tools or willingness to collaborate closely with product and AI teams.Deep knowledge of tumor biology, oncological patterns on imaging, and differential diagnosis.Strong analytical, documentation, and clinical evaluation skills.Excellent communication; ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.Passion for innovation, rural healthcare access, and medical technology.Preferred Experience

About the Role
The Radiation Oncologist will play a key role in refining the radiographic accuracy , radiation safety , and clinical reliability of the Eco-Scanner. This role bridges medical expertise with innovative imaging technology, ensuring safe, accurate detection of oncology and radiological abnormalities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert clinical input on radiation oncology , X-ray imaging, and tumor detection.Collaborate with the engineering and AI teams to :Optimize X-ray exposure parametersImprove image quality and clarityValidate model outputs (tumor detection, lesion identification, etc.)Review large volumes of chest, skeletal, and soft-tissue X-ray images for clinical validation.Develop radiation safety protocols , quality assurance frameworks, and imaging guidelines.Assist in clinical studies, pilot deployments, and testing across hospitals, research institutes, and rural clinics.Support regulatory submissions with safety and clinical documentation.Train healthcare workers and field teams on safe X-ray use and oncology imaging best practices.Act as a medical liaison with government hospitals, NGOs, and global health organizations.Required Skills & Expertise
MD / DNB in Radiation Oncology / Radiotherapy.3–12 years of clinical experience in radiotherapy, cancer imaging, and radiation safety.Strong knowledge of X-ray physics, radiation dose optimization, and imaging protocols .Ability to interpret oncology X-rays (lungs, spine, chest, pelvis, skull, extremities).Experience using digital radiography systems, radiology software, and PACS.Understanding of AI / ML-assisted imaging (preferred but not mandatory).Strong decision-making skills in clinical evaluation and imaging interpretation.Excellent communication and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.Preferred Experience
