Recovery Officer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing and recovering overdue and non-performing personal loan accounts.
• Contact delinquent borrowers through calls, messages, and field visits to negotiate repayment plans.
• Engage with guarantors or family members when required to facilitate recoveries.
• Monitor allocated loan portfolio and track follow-ups and resolutions in the internal system.
• Classify delinquent accounts into buckets (DPD-wise) and prioritize actions accordingly.
• Ensure timely escalations for legal or repossession actions in consultation with the legal and credit team.
• Liaise with external collection agencies and recovery agents as per policy guidelines.
• Maintain daily and weekly MIS on recovery performance, visit reports, and payment commitments.
• Work closely with collections and legal teams to coordinate recovery efforts and strategies.
• Ensure adherence to RBI and internal compliance standards during borrower interactions.
• Maintain professional conduct and protect the company's reputation during all recovery activities.
• Identify early warning signals in accounts and suggest preventive actions.
• Keep updated with legal procedures related to loan recovery, arbitration, and settlements.
• Achieve monthly recovery targets and contribute to a reduction in portfolio delinquency.
• Provide feedback to management on borrower behavior, recovery bottlenecks, and field insights.
