Job Summary :
The Associate Researcher will contribute to research, evaluation, and knowledge-building initiatives in the domains of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability. The role is suited for candidates interested in supporting evidence-based work on sustainability strategy, climate action, social inclusion, and responsible business practices across diverse sectors.

Essential Functions
The candidate will perform the following key functions :
Support ESG peer benchmarking and research to understand client performance against industry standards and best practices.
Assist in conducting ESG gap and maturity assessments, materiality analyses, and identification of key ESG topics for clients.
Help in compiling data for GHG inventories (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and support the development of decarbonization plans aligned with frameworks such as the GHG Protocol and SBTi.
Gather and organize ESG data from clients and assist in preparing reports and presentations in line with standards such as BRSR, GRI, CDP, SASB, and others.
Support assessments to identify ESG-related risks and opportunities across client operations and value chains.
Prepare internal and client-facing materials, presentations, and reports under the guidance of senior team members.
Stay updated on emerging ESG trends, frameworks, and best practices, and contribute to knowledge-building initiatives within the team.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science / studies, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, Engineering (environmental / industrial), Sustainability, or related fields.
Demonstrated academic or early professional exposure to sustainability, development, or ESG-linked research.
