Scope of the role :
The Client Relationship & Delivery Manager will oversee end-to-end management of design and engineering projects within the construction domain, ensuring timely and quality delivery of outputs developed using Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and related tools. This individual will be responsible for coordinating with clients for project delivery and requirement gathering, collaborating with internal technical engineering teams and HR for recruitment, resourcing, and performance management. This role combines technical understanding, client management, and operational execution.
Main Responsibilities and Activities
1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and oversee multiple design and BIM projects from initiation to delivery.
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
- Allocate resources based on skillsets (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, etc.) and project requirements.
- Track progress using project management tools to ensure adherence to deadlines and budget.
- Facilitate coordination between technical teams, clients, and senior management for smooth project execution.
2. Technical Oversight & Quality Control
Ensure adherence to client standards, LOD (Level of Detail), and BIM execution plans.Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to project teams.Coordinate with discipline leads (architecture, MEP, structural, etc.) to maintain design consistency and data integrity.Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies, tools, and workflows to drive innovation and efficiency.3. Client Management & Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients throughout the project lifecycle.Conduct project kick-off meetings, requirement discussions, and regular status reviews.Manage client expectations on scope, timelines, and deliverables through proactive communication.Identify opportunities for account growth and additional service offerings.Prepare and present project reports, progress summaries, and performance updates to clients and management.4. Performance Management
Monitor team performance metrics (productivity, quality, utilization) and implement improvement plans.Foster a collaborative work culture focused on learning, accountability, and excellence.Mentor junior engineers and support their technical and professional development.5. Recruitment & Resource Planning
Collaborate with HR to identify technical resource needs based on the project pipeline.Participate in interviews and technical evaluations for new recruits.Support onboarding, training, and competency development of new team members.Maintain an updated resource matrix and succession plan for ongoing and upcoming projects.6. Process & Delivery Optimization
Develop and implement standardized workflows, templates, and documentation formats.Ensure adherence to QA / QC standards, project protocols, and version control practices.Drive continuous improvement through feedback loops, post-project evaluations, and automation opportunities.7. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain project dashboards, schedules, and progress trackers.Generate regular MIS reports on project status, resource utilization, and performance KPIs.Document project learnings and contribute to the organization’s knowledge management system.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Architecture.Minimum 10 years of experience in construction engineering design, BIM coordination, or similar roles.Proven experience managing teams working with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Navisworks , and related tools.Strong understanding of BIM processes, model coordination, and data workflows.Experience managing international projects (US / UK / ME) preferred.Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, Jira , etc., is desirable.Key Skills & Competencies
