We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Finance Officer to join our team at St Joseph's School Kingswood.
Your Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Manage / oversee the school’s finance function including all aspects of accounts receivable and payable, reconciliation of bank and loan accounts, and preparing and submitting monthly BAS, GST and FBT returns within required timelines.Provide leadership and direction in budget and financial strategy having regard to long term financial objectives including projected student numbers, fee income and staffing.Initiate and prepare accounts for annual audit including Annual Financial Statement for auditing by external auditor.Manage all aspects of the school’s Payroll function and reporting requirements ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreement provisions. This includes but is not limited to complex and specialised salary and payroll calculations, PAYG, salary sacrifice for superannuation and motor vehicles.Please refer to the Position Description for more information.
About You :
Formal tertiary qualification equivalent to 2 years of full-time study (e.g. Advanced Diploma) in finance / accounting / business and / or demonstrated equivalent competency and experience.You will actively support and contribute to the Catholic ethos of St Joseph's School and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and provide assistance to all students, families, staff and visitors.The successful candidates will be required to undergo our screening process, which includes a Working with Children Check, E-Screen, Applicant Declaration Form and RRHAN
