About the Role
We are seeking a skilled SAP IS-U and / or S / 4HANA Utilities Developer with strong expertise in the energy and utilities domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining SAP Utility systems for our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality, performance-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure SAP Utilities functionalities in IS-U / S / 4HANA environments.
- Develop and enhance ABAP-based solutions, including IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData, BAdIs, and user exits.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and customers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Conduct unit testing, support integration and UAT, and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing custom ABAP developments.
- Work within agile project teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with performance and quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as an SAP IS-U / S4HANA Utilities Developer.Strong proficiency in SAP Utilities processes and data models.Experience with BAdI enhancements, Adobe Forms, and Web Dynpro.Hands-on experience in SAP IS-U / S / 4HANA Utilities customization and configuration.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.Strong ownership, decision-making, and stakeholder management abilities.Nice to Have
Knowledge of Utilities Data Model (“IS-U House”).Experience with IDEX DE, MaCo Cloud, Common Layer, or APE Framework.Familiarity with German utilities regulatory requirements.
