Description for Internal Candidates

We are seeking a highly skilled Apigee Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of API management solutions using Google Apigee. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in API architecture, security, and integration, and will play a key role in enabling scalable and secure digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and architect API solutions using Google Apigee Edge / X .
Define API standards, governance models, and best practices.
Lead the implementation of API proxies, policies, and security protocols.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with backend systems.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of API platforms.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
Manage API lifecycle including versioning, monitoring, and analytics.
Work closely with DevOps to automate deployments and CI / CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge / Apigee X .

Expertise in designing RESTful APIs and API security (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).

Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Java for policy development.

Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS / Azure acceptable).

Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker , and microservices architecture.

Knowledge of CI / CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Terraform.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Apigee certification.

Experience in financial services, healthcare, or telecom domains.

Exposure to GraphQL and event-driven architectures.
