Principal Ai Engineer - Backend Developer

Job descriptionPrior experience in a stealth startup or 0 → 1 product build environment. Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud governance frameworks. Exposure to autonomous agent frameworks and policy-as-code systems. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Founder-level equity participation with long-term upside. Opportunity to define the AI backbone of a next-generation enterprise platform. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years in backend software engineering with 5+ years in Python development .
- Strong experience in AI / ML system integration , preferably with LLMs, embeddings, and agent-based architectures.
- Proven track record in cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), with deep understanding of cost optimization and performance tuning .
- Hands-on experience with :
- Databases : Neo4j, Pinecone, PostgreSQL (Aurora).
- Frameworks : FastAPI, Flask, Django, LangChain, Haystack.
- MLOps / LLMOps tools : model deployment, monitoring, retraining pipelines.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI / CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) .
- Excellent problem-solving, system design, and debugging skills.
