Position Summary & Scope
The National Head for TIMS within the Response (Ad Sales) function at BCCL will be responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding business from existing accounts and acquiring new clients. The role focuses on both L2L (local-to-local) and L2O (local-to-other) models, with accountability for planning and executing sales strategy, delivering annual sales targets, and ensuring sustained year-on-year growth in revenue and market share across clients and industry verticals.
Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas)
Lead Sales Growth :
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase advertising revenue.
- Focus on securing new business from both existing accounts and untapped clients.
- Collaborate with Branch Heads to identify cross-selling opportunities for existing English-majority accounts, expanding their advertising reach to language publications.
Smart Sell Development :
Identify new smart selling avenues, form the idea to execute, get sponsors, co-create the solution with the client and position the brand.Brainstorm ideas with team members, support new initiatives and advertising solutions (beyond print) at branch-level, examine and approve proposals put up by the team members to generate incremental revenue for the business.Market Analysis & Target Setting :
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand the advertising landscape and track competitor ad revenue.In collaboration with the Directors and Branch Heads, provide relevant input in setting achievable & ambitious annual sales targets (AOP) for each product in the markets.Strategic Collaboration & Revenue Enhancement :
Work closely with Brand teams to develop targeted strategies for maximizing revenue from advertising in regions. This includes analyzing market potential data, understanding specific customer requirements, and tailoring solutions to capture untapped client opportunities.Partner with Response Sales Teams to explore cross-selling strategies, bundling English to provide comprehensive advertising solutions for clients.Performance Monitoring & Reporting :
Conduct monthly reviews across branches in collaboration with Directors and Branch Heads. Identify areas requiring improvement and create action plans to ensure achievement of revenue targets.Prepare and present monthly sales performance reports to the Director. Collaborate with them on strategies to further drive revenue growth.Team Management :
Lead and manage a team comprising of Regional Heads, and Sales Team Members (STMs)Ensure that the team is motivated, well-trained, and aligned with the branch’s revenue goals.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.Qualification and Experience
Post Graduate Degree in Management (Sales & Marketing)15-18 years of experience in Channel Sales, Direct Sales, Strategic planning, Sales processes, Business Development & Client Management.Strong background in developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue opportunities.
