Lead - homologation

Position : Lead - Homologation – HEV (Bus Battery System)

Location : Bengaluru

Department : Heavy Electric Vehicle - HEV

Role Summary :

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Homologation Lead to spearhead certification and validation of hybrid electric bus battery systems. This leadership role demands deep technical expertise in EV / HEV compliance, hands-on experience with regulatory bodies, and a strategic mindset to drive product readiness. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage homologation programs end-to-end, and ensure timely delivery of certified, high-quality systems aligned with global standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Leadership : Guide and mentor engineers and technicians; track KPIs and drive team performance.

Homologation & Compliance : Manage certification with agencies (ARAI, ICAT, etc.); ensure IS / AIS / ECE standard compliance.

Testing & Validation : Develop DVPs; validate batteries, hybrid powertrains, and charging / SWAP systems, MTBF, RLDA etc.

Vehicle Testing : Execute durability, reliability, and system-level tests (Brake, ABS, ESC, etc.).

Lab & Infrastructure : Set up test labs; manage equipment procurement and budgeting.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Align with design, manufacturing, and quality teams for timely execution.

Specialization Areas :

EV battery and charging system validation

Electric powertrain testing

DVP execution and vendor coordination

Test lab development and management

Qualifications :

B. E. / M. E. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering

10+ years in vehicle homologation, preferably in EV / HEV domain

Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and testing protocols
