Job Summary :
The candidate will lead product development initiatives with expertise in functional films, processing technologies, material science, adhesives, and advanced film formation techniques. The role requires innovation, technical leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop competitive products for the market.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead product development with expertise in functional film R&D, processing, and material science.
- Possess knowledge of extrudable, injection-molded, calendered, solvent-processed films, and latest commercial film formation technologies.
- Deep understanding of adhesives including permanent, removable, and pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA), especially for low surface energy substrates.
- Apply advanced adhesive technologies and polymeric materials with a strong understanding of structure-property relationships.
- Utilize film processing additives for thin film formation and surface modification to enhance printable ink applications.
- Conduct hands-on film testing, evaluating durability, exposure resistance, and mechanical strength.
- Expertise in various printing technologies, including water-based, solvent, and eco-solvent printing.
- Apply color science and physics principles to achieve desired shade, finish, and matting effects.
- Benchmark commercial graphics applications to ensure product competitiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement.
- Innovate and optimize product formulations to meet market demands and enhance performance.
- Develop and scale up new film formulations from laboratory to commercial production.
- Investigate and integrate new materials to advance product capabilities and sustainability.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on product applications and best practices.
- Collaborate with raw material suppliers and third-party contract manufacturers to ensure quality and supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications :
B.Tech, M.Tech, or PhD in Polymer Science / Technology, Material Science, or related field.5–12 years of experience in product development, functional film R&D, and material science.Proven expertise in adhesives, polymeric materials, film processing, and advanced printing technologies.Experience collaborating with raw material suppliers and third-party contract manufacturers.Skills Required
