Senior Functional Safety Engineer

Job descriptionLead the development of advanced functional safety engineering work products, including risk analysis (HARA), safety concepts, and requirements and architecture specifications at system, software, and hardware levels. Review functional safety deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable safety standards. Perform safety analyses and verification activities to validate the effectiveness of implemented safety measures. Manage engineering work products through configuration management to ensure traceability and version control. Track progress and status of project-specific engineering deliverables. Provide regular updates on the status of safety-related tasks and key milestones to relevant stakeholders. Act as a technical focal point within the functional safety team, participating actively in complex problem-solving and technical decision-making. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of safety-related work products. Coach and mentor new team members to facilitate their integration and growth. Deliver and conduct internal and external workshops and training sessions on Functional Safety and Security topics. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and developments in functional safety to ensure company alignment with best practices. Coordinate technical efforts across Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and AI domains to ensure cohesive project execution. Support the sales team by providing technical inputs and project estimations for proposals and quotes.
