Process Safety Engineer

Job descriptionConduct technical audits and investigations related to Process Safety engagements in Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, and other core sector industries. Lead or chair Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), and Control measures. Develop and review Major Accident Hazard Facility (MAH) Safety Cases and ALARP Demonstrations. Perform Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Classification and Verification. Conduct Fire, Explosion, and Toxic Consequence Analysis. Execute Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA). Plan and manage Emergency Response Planning (ERP) and Hazardous Area Classification (HAC). Perform Fault Tree and Event Tree Analysis, Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). Apply Risk and Reliability principles per IEC 61508 / 61511 standards. Implement Process Safety Management and conduct Process Safety Audits. Utilize consequence and risk analysis software such as DNV PHAST and DNV SAFETI. Manage projects from initial meetings through final reporting, providing practical and cost-effective recommendations. Apply relevant standards including PESO, PNGRB, NFPA, API, OISD, IS, NORSOK, IEC, and other international standards. Maintain excellent communication skills and professionalism across diverse cultural environments. Provide coaching and mentorship to colleagues. Flexibility to travel as per company and client requirements.
