Key Responsibilities :
- System Design : Define the end-to-end architecture and design of IoT systems, including hardware, software, network, and data components, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and security.
- Technology Evaluation : Identify and evaluate IoT technologies, platforms, sensors, and communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP) suitable for specific business or project needs.
- Security : Develop and implement comprehensive IoT security strategies to protect devices, data, and communication channels. Address concerns related to authentication, access control, and data privacy.
- Data Management : Establish data collection, storage, and processing strategies for IoT-generated data, ensuring effective data analysis and insight generation.
- Interoperability : Promote open standards and ensure seamless communication between IoT devices and systems, regardless of manufacturer or technology.
- Scalability : Design systems to handle growing numbers of devices and increasing data volumes efficiently.
- Edge Computing : Integrate edge computing principles to process data closer to the source, minimizing latency and improving real-time responsiveness.
- Cloud Integration : Determine and manage the integration of cloud platforms for data storage, analytics, and remote device management.
- Prototyping and Testing : Develop prototypes, conduct rigorous testing, and refine IoT designs based on performance and feasibility assessments.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and data scientists, to deliver cohesive IoT solutions.
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience in IoT architecture, solution design, and large-scale IoT system deployment.Hands-on experience with IoT protocols, cloud services (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT), and edge computing frameworks.Skills Required
