Position Summary

The Manager – Surface finishing will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Grinding / Polishing, Electroplating & Lacquer operations. This position requires a strong understanding and hands on work experience in Grinding / Polishing, electroplating, Electrophoretic lacquer & PVD processes on Brass, Zinc & SS material . Should have good understanding of Equipment and troubleshooting techniques for these processes, as well as excellent management and leadership skills. The Manager – Surface Finishing will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety & environment regulations are met.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the Grinding / Polishing, electroplating and electrophoretic lacquer department, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to production schedules.
• To ensure daily, weekly and monthly production targets are met.
• To improve all the surface finishing processes and implement procedures to improve quality standards and customer requirements.
• To oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of electroplating and electrophoretic lacquer equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• To Monitor and analyze production data & quality data to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
• To Review and update standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance documentation to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
• To Train and mentor electroplating, Lacquer & Grinding / Polishing technicians on new techniques, safety procedures, equipment operations, etc.
• To Manage inventory of Consumables, chemicals, and critical components in Surface finishing departments.
• To Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, identifying areas for improvement and facilitating their professional growth.
• To Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in electroplating, implementing innovations as appropriate.
