We are looking for a seasoned Senior Equipment Engineer to join our Global Product Support team, specializing in LAM’s Rainbow platform and 4XXX etchers . This role bridges engineering excellence with customer-facing support, ensuring high uptime, knowledge transfer, and best-in-class service for global fab customers. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to represent the company as a trusted technical partner worldwide.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality repair and preventive maintenance services for LAM Etch tools at global customer sites.
- Serve as a global product support lead for LAM Rainbow & 4XXX etcher platforms, ensuring stable performance and high availability.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support for customer fabs, troubleshooting critical issues and minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with OEMs, global fab teams, and internal engineering groups to resolve complex hardware / software challenges.
- Drive knowledge sharing across customer sites, developing troubleshooting guides, training modules, and best practices.
- Contribute to product lifecycle management, obsolescence engineering, and design feedback for continuous improvement.
- Train, mentor, and support junior engineers across global accounts.
Mandatory Skills :
10+ years of hands-on experience in equipment engineering within global semiconductor fabs.Proven expertise on LAM Rainbow platform and LAM 4XXX etchers.Strong knowledge of vacuum systems;basic etch process knowledge is an advantage.
Excellent troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Strong communication skills to interface with global customers, OEMs, and internal teams.Team player with a global mindset and ability to work in multicultural environments.Willingness to relocate to Mohali and travel up to 10% as needed.Education : B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Good to Have :
Experience in global product support roles handling escalations and customer-facing interactions.Familiarity with product lifecycle support, obsolescence management, and sustaining engineering.Ability to lead cross-functional projects and act as technical liaison with customers.
