Procurement Engineer

Job Title : Procurement Engineer-Jr – Wiring Harness

Job Purpose :

To ensure smooth procurement and timely availability of wiring harness raw materials through accurate planning, purchase order processing, and supplier follow-up, supporting uninterrupted production flow.

Key Responsibilities :

Raise purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders for wiring harness raw materials (wires, terminals, connectors, PVC sleeves, tapes, corrugated pipes, etc.).

Monitor stock levels and consumption patterns to plan material requirements in line with production schedules.

Coordinate with stores and production teams for daily / weekly raw material requirements.

Ensure timely follow-up with suppliers for order acknowledgements, dispatch schedules, and delivery status.

Track pending purchase orders and maintain updated records of inward / outward material.

Resolve delivery delays, shortages, or logistics issues in coordination with suppliers and internal teams.

Maintain accurate data in ERP system (AX) for POs, GRNs, and stock status.

Prepare and share daily / weekly MIS reports on material purchase and delivery status.

Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification, GRN matching, and payment processing follow-up.

Support year-end stock reconciliation and audit requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies :

Knowledge of wiring harness raw materials and specifications.

Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

Good knowledge of purchase processes, GRN, and inventory control.

Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.

Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and problem-solving mindset.

Education & Qualification :

Diploma / B.E. (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Industrial Engineering).

1–2 years of experience in raw material procurement, preferably in wiring harness / automotive manufacturing.
